Before you start

Whole almonds look most like pine scales; insert them pointed end out, slightly angled, starting at the bottom. A dusting of powdered sugar makes 'snow'.

Our own version inspired by the reel of @vegan.challenge.club: the creator's exact quantities are not published on the web, so these amounts are ours.

Ingredients

Step by step

  1. Heat oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix the brownie ingredients, spread in a lined 20 cm tin and bake 20 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. Crumble the brownie and squeeze into 8 egg-shaped cones. Chill 15 minutes.
  3. Press almonds into each cone in overlapping rows from the bottom to the tip.
  4. Brush or drizzle with melted chocolate, chill until set and dust with powdered sugar.
